After making its debut on high-spec versions of the Qashqai, Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system has been added to the cheaper Ti grade.
A more affordable hybrid variant of the 2025 Nissan Qashqai – which drops the RRP below $50,000 before on-road costs for the first time – has been added to the line-up.
After launching the updated Qashqai range in February 2025 with just two of the five variants offered with hybrid power, Nissan has introduced an additional e-Power hybrid model.
The Nissan Qashqai Ti e-Power joins the Ti-L and N-Design variants, priced from $47,165 plus on-road costs – $5200 cheaper than the Qashqai Ti-L, but positioned $4200 above the non-hybrid Qashqai Ti.
The Qashqai also takes the title of Nissan Australia’s cheapest e-Power model, undercutting the previous title holder, the larger X-Trail ST-L e-Power, priced from $49,490 plus on-road costs.
The hybrid version of the Qashqai Ti matches its petrol equivalent with features including dual-zone climate control, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with 12.3-inch digital instrument display.
It also includes satellite navigation, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and fog lights with adaptive high beam, and ProPilot cruise control with lane-centring assist.
The Qashqai Ti e-Power utilises the same powertrain as the Ti-L and N-Design variants, with a 140kW electric motor driving the front wheels, a 1.8kWh battery, and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine used to supply power to the electric system rather than driving the wheels directly.
2025 Nissan Qashqai N-Design e-Power Fuel consumption for the Qashqai e-Power is rated at 4.8L/100km, resulting in claimed fuel use for the hybrid model about 17 per cent lower than that of the equivalent petrol model, which is rated at 5.8L/100km.
The 2025 Nissan Qashqai Ti e-Power launches with what Nissan calls a ‘second-generation’ hybrid system, as featured in other e-Power models. A newer, more efficient third-generation system is expected to arrive sometime in 2026.
The Nissan Qashqai range now includes petrol-only versions of the ST and ST-L, a choice of petrol or hybrid power on the Ti and Ti-L, and the hybrid-only N-Design model.
