A leaked dealer bulletin has confirmed the new standard equipment coming to the Toyota Corolla Cross when it arrives in local showrooms later this year.
More Australian details on the updated 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross small SUV have been revealed in a leaked dealer document.
The document, posted to the Toyota Corolla Cross Owners Australia Facebook group, confirms Toyota Australia's claim all grades would "benefit from increased standard specification" when the updated model arrives in local showrooms later this year.
Along with a refreshed exterior design, the GX will receive low-speed autonomous emergency braking (AEB), which was previously limited to the GXL and Atmos.
Wireless Android Auto support will also be added to join the existing wireless Apple CarPlay.
Now mandatory for all new electric, hybrid and hydrogen vehicles sold in Australia from November 2025, a low-speed pedestrian warning sound will be introduced across the Corolla Cross line-up.
GXL and Atmos grades will have a revised piano-black centre console, and a Snow drive mode for all-wheel-drive models, the document shows.
Features previously exclusive to the Atmos but now available in the GXL include a wireless smartphone charger, heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, and what is believed to be an upgraded 360-degree camera with a see-through view.
Compared to the current model, the Atmos will receive ventilated front seats, a revised 18-inch alloy wheel design, and centre console illumination.
A range of new colours will also be available to join the existing Glacier White and Frosted White: Massive Grey, Ink, Ash Slate, Shadow Platinum and Feverish Red.
Toyota has not confirmed if the Corolla Cross will gain adaptive high-beam technology or revised LED tail-lights with a new signature, which have been announced for European models built in the same Japanese factory as local examples.
Last month, Toyota Australia announced the all-wheel-drive-only Corolla Cross GR Sport will join the line-up as a flagship variant above the current Atmos.
Changes for the GR Sport include a unique front bumper, larger 19-inch alloy wheels, lowered coil springs and shock absorbers with a sports suspension tune, a unique power-steering tune, and a Sport drive mode.
Pricing for the updated 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross is yet to be confirmed, but it is likely to be dearer than the current model, which ranges from $36,480 for the front-wheel-drive GX hybrid to $50,030 for the all-wheel-drive Atmos hybrid.
Customer deliveries are due in the second half of 2025, Toyota Australia has confirmed.
The Corolla Cross went hybrid-only in Australia in mid-2024, along with the Yaris, Yaris Cross, Corolla, Camry, RAV4 and Kluger.
