GWM has turned the lights down on its flagship hybrid four-wheel-drive, which adds darkened styling at an extra cost.

The 2025 GWM Tank 500 Vanta is due in showrooms in the coming weeks as the most expensive car ever sold by the Chinese car maker in Australia.
Priced from $75,990 drive-away, the Vanta is based on the Ultra grade of GWM's large Tank 500, introducing blacked-out styling on the outside in the same vein as the Haval H6 Vanta family SUV.
It is $2000 dearer than the Ultra variant, based on its regular price – but an End of Financial Year drive-away offer lowers the Ultra's price to $71,990.
It adds a gloss-black front grille and Tank badge, black front bumper inserts, black headlights internals, and blacked-out rear detailing, including the tail-light surrounds, spare wheel cover, tailgate door and rear diffuser.
There are also unique 18-inch black alloy wheels, gloss black door handles, roof rails, and window trim surrounds, plus black door scuff plates, and standard Crystal Black paint, usually a $595 option.
The only non-black addition to the car is a red finish for the brake calipers.
Order books for the GWM Tank 500 Vanta are open now, ahead of customer deliveries due to commence in early July 2025.
