GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV models purchased with an ABN are now offered at a national drive-away price, along with a complimentary home charger until June 30.
The 2025 GWM Cannon Alpha Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) ute has moved to a national drive-away price for business and fleet customers.
Until June 30, 2025, unless extended, the Cannon Alpha PHEV is available for $60,490 drive-away when purchased using an Australian Business Number (ABN), which the brand claims represents a "large percentage" of sales in the segment.
It compares to a recommended retail price for the entry-level Lux PHEV of $59,990 before on-road costs, or between $61,500 and $64,500 depending on the state and territory of registration, for private customers.
The top-of-the-range Ultra PHEV is available for $67,490 drive-away for ABN holders, while the price for private customers is $66,690 before on-road costs, or between $68,500 and $71,000 drive-away.
GWM Australia said the move to a national drive-away price for ABN holders – which includes fleet customers – equates to savings of up to $4100 depending on the state of purchase.
"By offering simplified and attractive national pricing for ABN holders, GWM is making it easier than ever for sole traders, small businesses, and fleet managers to access the many benefits offered by the Cannon Alpha PHEV," the brand said in a media release.
The move sees the drive-away pricing of the Cannon Alpha PHEV Lux go neck-and-neck with the BYD Shark 6 Premium for ABN holders, with the BYD available for between $59,000 and $61,000 drive-away, depending on where it is registered.
GWM has not confirmed if the ABN drive-away price will increase after July 1, 2025.
"This move sends a clear message to ABN and fleet buyers – GWM is open for business," GWM Australia and New Zealand chief operating officer John Kett said.
"We’re committed to delivering not only class-leading vehicles, but also strong value and real-world affordability for Australian businesses and fleet operators looking for efficient, capable transport solutions."
All customers who purchase a Cannon Alpha PHEV by the end of the current financial year will also receive a complimentary GWM-branded 7KW alternating-current (AC) home charger, valued at $599 excluding installation costs.
In addition, a trade-in bonus of $3000 is available until June 30, 2025, for customers who exchange their current GWM vehicle for a Cannon Alpha PHEV, while a $1000 loyalty bonus is available for buyers who are keeping their current GWM vehicle.
A national drive-away price was initially offered for private customers, but GWM reverted to state-based drive-away deals last month to allow for savings of up to $2500 depending on the state of registration.
Dealer demonstrator examples of the 2025 GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV have started arriving in showrooms across Australia, while the first customer deliveries are due next month.
