Zeekr will use the Sydney International EV Show to showcase its 7GT liftback, with an eye to a potential Australian introduction.

The left-hand drive 7GT Shooting Break will be on hand to gauge public reaction to the model, as a companion to the 7X SUV already sold in Australia.

While no timeline for a potential right-hand drive version has been given, Zeekr admits the car is being evaluated for a local introduction.

The 7GT uses the same Sustainable Experience Architecture PMA2+ platform as the Zeekr 7X (and related Smart #5), and bears a strong family resemblance to the 7X.

Measuring 4864mm long, 1445mm tall, and 1900mm wide with a 2925mm wheelbase, the 7GT is around 65mm longer, 15mm lower, and 25mm wider than a BYD Seal, with a wheelbase just 5mm longer.

The five-door fastback is available in China as a 310kW single-motor version, or a flagship 475kW model that can sprint from 0-100km/h in a claimed 2.84 seconds.

The car on display will be equipped with the 310kW single-motor drivetrain and the larger of two available nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) batteries, with a 100kWh capacity and an 825km driving range rating based on the more generous CLTC test standard.

The 800-volt electrical architecture enables one of the world’s leading recharge capabilities, according to Zeekr, with a 10-80 per cent recharge time in just 10.5 minutes, and the ability to recoup 610km of range in 15 minutes, on a compatible 420kW DC ultra-fast charger.

The 7GT features a version of the ‘Hidden Energy’ design language seen on the 7X with a visor-style front end encompassing the headlights, underpinning a wrap-over clamshell bonnet.

At the rear, the 7GT has a floating D-pillar design, similar to that of the 7X, and a thin rear light bar that spans the width of the tailgate.

The Zeekr 7GT boasts a drag coefficient of 0.198 Cd, making it more aero-efficient than a Mercedes-Benz EQS (0.20 Cd), but behind the Lucid Air (0.197) and Xiaomi SU7 (0.195).

The Zeekr 7GT will be on display at the Sydney International EV Show from Friday, October 31st, until Sunday, 2 November 2025, alongside the Zeekr X and 7X SUV range, and Zeekr 009 people mover.
