MG has announced that its electric vehicle range will include a voucher to access the Evie public charging network.
Evie’s charging network includes over 360 fast-charging locations and 1000 individual charging bays across Australia.
The offer applies to new MG electric vehicles purchased between October 1 and December 31, 2025.
The charging offer applies to electric vehicles only and excludes MG’s range of plug-in hybrid vehicles.
Government, rental, and rideshare buyers are also excluded from the offer, which is available to private purchasers only.
Evie's head of fleet partnerships, Ben Savigny, said in a statement, “Evie is committed to making EV ownership simple, seamless, and stress-free. Our reliable network ensures drivers can easily access fast charging when and where they need it, which is exactly what Australian families want from their EV experience."
Customers will be provided with instructions on how to access their Evie charging network account when they take delivery of their new vehicle.
MG Motor Australia business director Stuart Mitchell said, “MG Motor Australia believes that EVs should be within reach for all Aussies, not just in terms of affordability, but also in how easy they are to own and run.
“We’re making it even easier for our customers to enjoy the benefits of electric driving from day one, with 12 months of complimentary charging on us.”
MG has placed a 1000kW cap on the promotion, after which owners will be required to pay Evie’s normal network useage rates, which vary from 50c to 58c per kW for 50kW fast charging, and from 60c to 68c/kW on a 150kW ultra-fast charger.
In the case of the 100kW battery of an MG IM5 or IM5, owners would be limited to around 20x 30-80 per cent charges, while the smaller 42kW battery of an S5 EV would be eligible for over 40x 30-80 per cent refills.
In the case of an IM5 Performance, that results in close to 5050km of free public charging, based on WLTP consumption, or over 6930km of included driving in an MG S5 EV Excite 49, based on WLTP range.
