Honda’s stand at the 2025 Tokyo motor show at the end of October is set to be nothing if not varied.

The biggest news for Honda is the world premiere of its new 0 Series SUV prototype.

Honda’s new EV range, under the Honda Zero (stylised as Honda 0) is expected to grow to include a low-slung sedan and an SUV-coupe for Honda’s Acura luxury brand, shown at Monterey Car Week.

The Honda 0 Series SUV is set to go into production in Ohio, USA.

The minimalist SUV carries a new design language that breaks from Honda’s existing visual identity and debuts an all-new electric vehicle architecture that will underpin a range of future Honda electric vehicles.

Alongside the 0 Series, Honda will also reveal a ‘Compact EV prototype’ pointing to another near-production model.

The new model is described as being “filled with the playful Honda spirit” and promises to deliver “both outstanding usability and the ‘joy of driving,’” according to Honda’s press preview.

While Honda’s automobile division is revealing two electric car prototypes at the Tokyo motor show (now officially titled Japan Mobility Show), the brand has recently adapted its future product plans, with a greater focus on hybrid vehicles, whilst also scaling back EV ambitions.

Despite this, the Honda stand will also include Japan-first premieres of the Acura RSX prototype, and Honda 0 Series Saloon.

The stand will also debut a new concept for an electric motorcycle from Honda’s motorcycle division, and an e-MTB prototype – an electric-powered mountain bike.

If the mix of cars and bikes isn't enough, Honda will also have its experimental sustainable rocket on display.

The spacecraft has already been used in launch and landing tests in Japan, and demonstrates the brand’s aerospace expertise, including the use of renewable fuels, helping justify the rocket’s ‘sustainable’ claims.
