Ford Everest Sport 2.0-litre returns as a limited edition model

The 2026 Ford Everest range will see the 2.0-litre four-cylinder version of the Sport trim level return, but only for a limited time.

Ford had previously switched the Everest Sport to a V6-only model, despite having previously offered the 2.0-litre bi-turbo engine in the Sport grade.

Unlike previous configurations, the Sport Limited Edition will pair the four-cylinder engine with four-wheel drive. Earlier releases were rear-wheel drive with the 2.0-litre engine and four-wheel drive of the Sport V6.

The move fits with the rest of the Everest Range, which is now only available with 4x4 after 4x2 models were discontinued earlier this year.

The Sport Bi-Turbo, as it’s officially known, will be available in a limited run of approximately 700 vehicles, priced from $71,790 plus on-road costs, but offered with a $75,000 drive-away price at participating dealers.

Ford currently offers the Sport V6 for $75,540 plus on-road costs, while the four-cylinder rear-wheel drive was last sold for $63,990 plus on-road costs.

The Sport Bi-Turbo retains the equipment of the Sport V6, including 20-inch alloy wheels, black exterior styling package, leather-accented seats with Sport embroidery, front seat heating and ventilation, and a hands-free power tailgate.

The limited edition four-cylinder model also adds the factory-fitted Touring Pack that is normally an optional extra on the V6, This adds a towbar, integrated trailer brake controller, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, and 360-degree cameras.

The Touring Pack carries a regular retail price of $2900 on the Everest Sport V6.

Prestige paint is also standard as part of the Limited Edition specification. Normally a $750 option, the Sport Bi-Turbo will be offered in Shadow Black, Meteor Grey, Aluminium, the Sport-exclusive Blue Lightning, and in a first for the Everest Sport, Alabaster White Pearl, replacing the regular Arctic White on the Sport V6.

The production run for the Everest Sport Bi-Turbo will take place in September and October 2025, with the first customer deliveries expected in Australia beginning in October.
