With unique colour and trim design packages, the Intensa Special Series celebrates Alfa Romeo’s design heritage in strictly limited numbers.
Alfa Romeo has revealed special edition packages for the Tonale and Stevlio SUVs and Giulia sedan.
The Intensa Special Series models will be limited to just 10 units each of the Tonale and Giulia and 30 units of the Stelvio.
With Alfa averaging just over 10 Stelvio sales per month over the first eight months of 2025, the Stelvio Intensa Special Series could be on dealer lots for a while.
Both the Tonale and Giulia outsell the Stelvio for far in 2025, but all three models have seen sales slide this year compared to 2024, with overall brand sales down almost 24 per cent year on year.
To boost interest, the Intensa Special Series adds Italian flag motifs on the side mirrors, two-tone alloy wheels with machined face detailing finished with a gold colourway, with 19-inch wheels on the Giulia and 20-inch alloys on the Tonale and Stelvio.
All three vehicles are equipped with a sunroof, with the Stelvio and Giulia offering a dual-pane panoramic roof.
The Tonale Intensa will be available in Alfa Black at no extra cost, Alfa Red for $1990 extra and Montreal Green for $2500 extra. The Giulia and Stelvo Intansa offer standard Vulcano Black, or a choice of Etna Red or Montreal Green for a $4000 surcharge.
Mechanically, the Tonale offers the ‘dual-stage valve’ adaptive suspension from the Tonale plug-in hybrid, but features the same 1.5-litre mild-hybrid engine as the Tonale Ti, rated at 117kW and 240Nm.
The Stelvio and Giulia add Synaptic Dynamic Control active suspension, in place of the passive suspension found on the regular models.
The interior of the Inensa Special Series models also picks up extras like a two-tone steering wheel with tan accents and contrast stitching, ‘Intensa’ embroidery on the front armrest and embossed on the side panels of the front seats, and Alfa Romeo logo embroidery on the front headrests.
The Tonale comes with Alcantara seats, grey backing and tan stitching, and switches to a rotary gear shift dial, in place of the usual gear lever.
The Stelvio and Giulia are equipped with leather seats with tan backing and tan stitching on the dash, door cards, and centre armrest.
Pricing for the Tonale Intensa starts from $69,990 plus on-road costs, up from $58,900 for the regular Tonale Ti.
The Giulia Intensa is priced from $84,990 and the Stelvio Intensa from $94,490, compared to $76,490 for the Giulia Veloce and $86,888 for the Stelvio Veloce respectively, all before on-road costs.
The new special edition models arrive despite remaining stock of Alfa Romeo’s last Tributo Italiano editions still sitting unsold in dealers around Australia, having been announced in February 2025.
