I have had the utmost pleasure of having my Mazda 6 for over 4 years.

The Generation 2 Series 1 Mazda 6 GH boasts a nippy 2.5L engine. I can not praise the vehicle enough.

I have had the six-speed manual spec, and I can say the shifter is so forgiving and swift. I have tried the new Nissan Z, the new Honda Civic Type R and multiple Mitsubishi Lancers and the Mazda's shifter system has to be up there with the very best.

When it first came out, it was one of the first cars to have BOSE speakers inside—making this car one of the top hatchbacks of the time after the Ford Mondeo XR5. It is filled with an all-leather interior, a sunroof and electronic seats.

This vehicle is a perfect sports car for any businessman, teen or the all-important family car.

Some forgiving faults the car poses are the sunroof controls can wear over time, the door window motors can become worn and stop working, and the outside boot button can become frozen, making it impossible to open the boot without the button on the Mazda keys to help.

My little Mazda carries impressive steering, performance and reliability for its age. I have heard people lasting their Mazda 6 GH up to 400,000 kilometres on the odometer.

This vehicle has even been used in racing in China, Japan, and New Zealand.

The Mazda 6 GH is an excellent JDM vehicle, less common more and more so today. When Mazda Japan came to Australia with the new range of Mazda 6 GH's a limited number of the 2008 model vehicles came into the country.

What makes this vehicle rare is if you are lucky enough to find a rare 2008 deep blue luxury sport model in an automatic or manual, as they are extremely hard to obtain today. So don't swipe right with this vehicle if you have one; stand up for it and zoom zoom to your next adventure.

If you are into tuning this beast of a ride, the vehicle's engine is one of Mazda's better half of reliability. I have witnessed the vehicle's potential reaching a top road speed of 227.5km/h, bone stock. Whack on a turbo, lower the car and modify it like no other.

You are surely going to not only have an unforgettable ride but also pass people in style.
