Ford pushes the value angle with the addition of a Black Edition variant of the seven-seat Everest large SUV.
Family Cars
Ford Australia has announced a Black Edition variant of the Everest, which will slot into the range as a limited edition model.
Based on the lower-mid spec Everest Trend, the Ford Everest Black Edition features a blacked-out appearance package comprising roof rails, side steps, door handles, mirrors, grille, alloy wheels, and 'EVEREST' bonnet badging.
In line with the value position for the 750-example limited edition, it is being marketed under a $69,000 drive-away offer, compared to the Black Edition’s retail price of $68,990 before on-road costs.
Based on a Melbourne metro postcode, an Everest Trend would cost $74,243 including on-road costs, making the Black Edition more than $5200 cheaper.
The Everest Black edition is equipped with the Everest’s 2.0-litre bi-turbo four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, 10-speed automatic transmission, and selectable four-wheel-drive with low range.
The Black Edition also comes equipped with all-terrain tyres in place of the highway-terrain tyres fitted to the Everest Trend as standard. The all-terrain upgrade is usually a $750 option on other Everest models.
The Black Edition will be offered in three exterior colours, including Alabaster White Pearl, Aluminium Metallic, and Shadow Black, again at no additional cost. Premium pain models normally incur a $750 cost.
Buyers can also option additional equipment on the Everest Black Edition, including a Premium Seat Pack, which upgrades the standard leather trim with heated and ventilated front seats, 10-way power adjustment for the driver, and eight-way passenger adjustment for $1200.
The Towing Pack ($1950) and Touring Pack ($2900) are also available. The former adds a towbar and hitch, integrated brake controller and 12-pin wiring harness. The Touring pack adds those items, plus a 360-degree camera, and trailer reversing assist software.
Features shared with other Everest models include dual-zone climate control, 12-inch infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, wireless charge pad, eight-speaker audio, leather accented trim, eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning vents to all three rows, keyless entry with push-button start, and automatic LED headlights with high beam assist.
Orders for the Ford Everest Black Edition are open now, with deliveries set to commence in July 2025.
